Incorporating the and Margaret Stanton Preschool |

On 7th July 2011, in conjunction with Faye Cran (Muma Kuku) and the then new Rotary Club of Tengeru, Keith and Margaret Stanton built the Margaret Stanton Preschool. In the previous 6 months 6 young girls had been raped on the way to their previous preschool and the Tengeru Rotary Club felt the building of a preschool in Nguruma village was a good community project for them. They looked for financial help of Rotarians from around the world - Rotarian Keith Stanton a New Zealand Rotarian offered to help His wife Margaret Stanton who had recently retired from being a Supervisor at the Lighthouse preschool in Christchurch New Zealand also came on board providing the Rotary club with ideas for the building of a modern preschool. The preschool was opened with
much rejoicing by
Margaret and Keith Stanton and the community on the 4th April 2013. The Rotary club of Riccarton Christchurch New Zealand have have supported us by installing a playground and playground equipment.
